Yekaterinburg Church on the Blood

Yekaterinburg “Church on the Blood”

Here, from the “Earth of Blood”, holy souls of prayers for Orthodox world, for Russia and for the whole mankind ascended to Heaven.

People from all over the world come here, to the “Russian Golgotha”, willing to understand sacrifice and heroism of Royal Family and to get closer to the Sacred Beauty. It’s the continuity of spiritual experience with thoughts about the future.

“History is a teacher of life”
(Cicero)

It means studying history not only for the facts, but also for understanding and formation of the worldview.

Today, when millions of families are breaking down, we may appeal to the christlike Family Trinity:
father, mother and their children. They paid with their own lives to reveal that
«God is Love», and that «Love is stronger than death».

Emperor (hereafter Tsar) Nicholas’ II devotion to his people and to Motherland is the best response to crucial issues of today’s Russia and its future.

Our Tsar kept the country from evil both in domestic and foreign policy: “I am responsible for my people and my country to God”. Tsar is the owner of the country, not a protege of a party.

Russian Tsar was the first among the other governors who came up with the idea of universal peace protection.

Another christlike idea was the “Idea of Sufficiency Economy”. One of the richest families in the world gives us an example of simplicity in life, dress and food.
(Restraining forces are becoming weaker, and environment can’t stand uncontrollable consumerism anymore).

Moral economy is christlike.
Significant increase in funding of science, culture, healthcare and education is one of the main features of this economy. During Tsar Nicholas’ II reign Russia had the most progressive labor legislation in the world, there was free medical care for poor people, the population showed an increase of 3 million people per year (mainly due to Russian people) and at the same time per capita profit doubled. Here is the main idea of decree, 1897: “Do not market crude oil, but do market oil products at higher prices and cost difference send to the state treasury”. Education spending increased eightfold over 20 years, all energy resources were subsidized by the state, Russia had the lowest taxes in the world.

Tsar realized the meaning of christlike simplicity and tried to get closer to common people. Nicholas II and Stolypin had the following objective: “The main task is to strengthen the lower classes. They are the power of the country. There are more than one hundred million of low classes’ representatives in the country! Let the roots of the state become healthy and strong and the words of the Russian Government will sound very different”.

Nicholas II always followed native Russian Orthodox traditions in his reign and life. He attracted the best representatives of Russian culture in the society “Revival of Russia” in order to capture the characteristic features of Russian civilization in education, culture and architecture. With his support reference book was prepared to replace foreign words with native in clerical work: “Words of non-slavic origin must not mutilate our language. Russian is closer to heart”.

“Victory in the World War I in an incredibly difficult conditions was Tsar Nicholas’ II most difficult and most forgotten achievement”, – S.S. Oldenburg.
When Russia was becoming major economic power and was so close to the victory, it collapsed.

Tsar understood that Russian people (especially intelligentsia, bourgeoisie), carried away by western ideas of reformation, were leaving the historical roots.
Tsar is the God’s anointed. “Tsar could not be cruel to his people and he believed, that punishment and cruelty was not the right way, only infinite love for people could change everything”, – V.I. Bolshakov.

“Realizing of history as a mystery of God’s will is a great service of Nicholas II “, – archpriest Alexander Shargunov. Christ was crucified for the sins of the whole world.
Tsar Nicholas II was sacrificed for the sins of Russia, left by everyone.

“My father asked me to tell everyone … he had forgiven everyone and prayed for everyone … and evil couldn’t triumph over evil, only love could”, – letter from Princess Olga from Tobolsk. “Isn’t it an echo of the Savior’s words, when He was nailed to the cross and when He prayed,” – Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh. Russian autocracy was interrupted at its best representative.

“Loyalty to the Orthodox Church and devotion to the Motherland, that we see in Royal Family, are the banners around which Russia should unite”, – Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubosarsky Justinian.

In everyday hustle our goal is to stand against evil, to save Russia, otherwise our descendants, eating the bitter bread of slavery, will say about us: “They kept silent”.
Russia, living in conscience, is needed in the whole world.
